Spray Dryer Description

Spray dryer is a device that can complete drying and granulation at the same time.

According to the process requirements, the pressure, flow rate and the size of the spray hole of the material liquid pump can be adjusted to obtain the required spherical particles in a certain size ratio.

The spray dryer is a kind of continuous atmospheric pressure dryer. The liquid material is sprayed into mist with special equipment, and it is dried in contact with hot air.

Working Principle

The air is filtered and heated, and enters the air distributor at the top of the dryer. The hot air enters the drying chamber uniformly in a spiral shape. The feed liquid is rotated and sprayed by the high-speed centrifugal atomizer on the top of the tower body into very fine mist-like liquid droplets, which can be dried into finished products in a very short time in contact with hot air in parallel.

Centrifugal Spray Drying Technology

High-speed centrifugal spray drying is the most widely used process in the liquid process forming and drying industry.

 

It is suitable for producing powdery and granular solid products from solution, emulsion, suspension and pasty liquid raw materials.

Therefore, spray drying is an ideal process when the particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle shape of the finished product must meet precise standards.

Centrifugal Spray Drying Features

The drying speed is fast, and the surface area of the material liquid increases after atomization. In the hot air flow, 95%-98% of the water can be evaporated instantly.

 

The product has good uniformity, fluidity and solubility, high purity and good quality.

 

The production process is simplified and the operation and control are convenient. Liquids with a moisture content of 40-60% (up to 90% for special materials) can be dried into powder products at one time, and the control and management are very convenient.
